Winter Art Market is the just a few days away! I've discovered in the past week that working a full time job really cuts in to all my preparation but everything seems to be coming together and I'm really excited about all of my ornaments, cards, and other paper goodies. Looks like the weather will be perfect. Hours are Friday 5-9, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-5 along the Reedy River. Get in the Christmas spirit while supporting Greenville's local artists!

A few Christmas items...

Hello!

Welcome to Skeleton Leaves, I'm so excited to finally get this project off the ground. It has taken me a long time to finally get here. After two years of heading down a completely different path, working in finance, studying for multiple securities licensing exams and basically putting my artistic career on hold,  I've returned to my first love. I'm eager jump head first into this crazy world and in less than 2 weeks you will find me at the Greenville Winter Art Market in downtown Greenville selling my handmade cards, Christmas ornaments and other goodies. I'm beyond excited for this opportunity.

So, what's with the name? you may be asking. My mom immediately thought of gouls and goblins but no, this is no reference to anything spooky. Skeleton leaves are shells of their former bright, living, and green selves. But, they hold their own beauty and intricacies. My work is about reclaiming remnants from the past and finding the beauty that still exists within them even though they are now faded, yellowed, or torn. The idea of the skeleton leaf just seemed to fit.

Thanks for taking the time to share in this journey with me. Finally, a special thanks to Christina for all the encouragement and for giving me the kick in the pants that I needed to finally do this.

Lots of pictures to follow.
